Exciting New Event !!!!!
This April and for the first time ever in our student bookclub, we are inviting students to read with a parent and join bookclub together!
How does it work?
1. You register your interest with Ms Tierney (via Teams, email ctierney@stleoscarlow.ie or in person) by Friday 22nd March.
2. You buy the book or borrow it from Ms Tierney (20 copies are reserved from Libraries Ireland, so it’s a first come first served basis)
3. You read, and your parent does too!
4. You join bookclub online on April 25th at 8.30pm and we discuss together!
The book chosen is called Lonely Castle in the Mirror by Mizuki Tsujimura.
It’s about 7 teenagers who for one reason or another are not attending school. One day, the mirror in their bedroom starts to shine and opens onto a magical world with a castle where they are tasked to find a key. If they do, they are granted a wish. But if they fail to leave by 5pm every day, they will be devoured by the Wolf Queen, keeper of the castle.
We hope you can join us and have fun while reading together!
*Students can also attend without a parent if they wish but we would encourage you to get them reading too!
**When copies start arriving, they will be lent to students who have registered first.
We are delighted to announce the launch of St.Leo's College student bookclub!
