Transition Year Promotion 2024
We are delighted with our very busy Transition Year programme which is well underway.
Our Transition Year Co-ordinators are looking after all aspects of the programme, the exciting courses, activities and modules on offer.
Our Year Head will support the girls throughout the year as they did last year. Each class has a class tutor who meets the the group every morning from Monday to Thursday.
Each student will complete core subjects along with her chosen modules throughout the year.
Well done to all on embracing every opportunity offered during this challenging year.
Transition Year
Transition Year provides a bridge between Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate. It offers a broad educational experience promoting the personal, social, academic and vocational development of each student. It provides us with opportunities to create new learning environments in which each student can discover her own individual talents, aptitudes and abilities.
Our aim is to prepare each student for her role as an independent and responsible member of society. We encourage the involvement of parents, employers and the local community in the Transition Year Programme, specifically through our Social Care, Mini Company, Work Experience and Enrichment Programmes.
