European Parliament Ambassador Programme

Amy Mc Loughlin and Ms. Brennan were interviewed on Thursday 15th April by Christina Nuhr, the European Programmes Officer for the European Ambassador Schools' Programme.

The aim of the programme is to increase awareness of Europe, democracy and political choice among young people across the EU. Ambassador schools do this by organising a Europe Day event, setting up an info point, linking up with schools in other EU countries and completing the EPAS Workbook. Over 65 schools across Ireland took part this year with St. Leo's College again being one of them.

Our student representative Amy McLoughlin from Sixth Year represented the school very well. We showcased what we achieved this year with regard to the programme and how we adapted to the current pandemic and remote learning.

We have once again been successful and are delighted to have been awarded the title of European Ambassador School for the academic year 2021-2022.

Well done to all involved!
