Junior Achievers/Futurwize at St. Leo's College

Junior Achievers Ireland (JAI) is part of a worldwide organisation bringing entrepreneurship education to over 10 million young people each year. It was established in Ireland in 1996 and since then has built up a strong demand from schools throughout the country and created successful partnerships with 160 leading organisations.

Junior Achievement programmes help to create a culture of enterprise within the education system, helping young people prepare for the world of work, giving them skills in communications and preparing for interviews. Recognising the modern knowledge-based economy, JAI also brings science and maths skills to thousands of young students nationwide as business volunteers work to deliver exciting programmes and events.

Futurewize (12 – 14 Years)

In partnership with Science Foundation Ireland and Fidelity Investments, this 5 week STEM programme links the strands of the junior cycle science curriculum: Earth and Space, Chemical World, Physical World and Biological World, to varied careers and fields of study in STEM. With hands-on activities students journey through Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and uncover the future possibilities within.
